11 Thanksgiving Tips Everyone Needs to Know!

Hello to all of our fabulous FREEMALESWe’re so excited to
kick off our first
Freemale Friday with some of our thrifty tips and tricks to
make your life a little easier.

It’s that time of year again! Somehow the holiday season has
crept up on us, and we are already thinking about our never-ending Thanksgiving
preparations.

Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays because there’s
no better combination than loving family, delicious food and enough wine to
keep the merriment going all day long!

But we’re just like you and ALWAYS find ourselves running
into a few bumps in the road when we plan for our holiday celebrations. To make
sure your Thanksgiving goes as smoothly as possible, we’ve put together a list
of our top tips and tricks!

1.
Candles are the perfect fall decoration, but if
you have crazy kids running around the house, there’s a good chance you’ve had
to clean up spilled wax. To easily clean up candle wax from your carpet, place
a paper towel over the wax and iron the top of the paper towel.

2.
If your favorite candles are starting to look a
little messy, put the candle jar in the freezer to clean off the melted wax.

3.
Don’t worry if one of your guests decides to set
their drink down without a coaster! Simply add a little petroleum jelly to your
furniture to get rid of the water stain!

4.
Hard water spots can leave your glasses looking
dull and cloudy! Use vinegar to clean off your water and wine glasses to add a
sparkling touch to your Thanksgiving table.

5.
Peeling potatoes doesn’t have to be a chore!
Boil your potatoes whole, and then submerge the potatoes in ice water. You’ll
be able to easily peel the potatoes with your bare hands!

6.
Mashed potatoes are the best side dish, and
we’re guilty of ALWAYS going for seconds! Add one teaspoon of baking powder to your
mashed potatoes to make them extra fluffy!

7.
For all you red wine drinkers, this one is for
you! In case you accidentally spill your glass of Pinot Noir on your new blouse
or your in-law’s carpet, just add a little white wine on top of the spill to
neutralize the stain!

8.
Not a fan of red wine? Add a little pizzazz to
your glass of white wine with frozen grapes! It’s the perfect way to chill your
Chardonnay without watering it down!

9.
If you get a little carried away and break the
wine cork into the very expensive bottle your mother-in-law brought, do NOT
freak out! The quickest fix is to use a coffee filter when you pour the glass
of wine- no cork in sight!

10.Everyone
looks forward to Thanksgiving dessert, no matter how full we get! Make sure to
impress your guests with a swoon-worthy cake. Simply store the cake with a
slice of bread to keep it moist just until it’s time for frosting!

11.Make
a standout pumpkin pie with a little added flare! Add one easy step and grate
frozen butter straight into piecrust dough to keep it tender and flaky!

Now it’s time to take on your Thanksgiving preparations like the pro we know you are!
