Las Vegas high school student Anthony Martinez can relate to the saying “Always a bridesmaid, never a bride”. Going through high school is tough enough, but for a gay teen like Anthony, it can be constantly disappointing. The self-proclaimed party planning enthusiast always seems to be in charge of putting together the high school dances, but never gets asked out as a date to attend them. So when their school prom rolled around, Anthony was prepared for another solo event when he got the biggest surprise!



Anthony’s best friend, straight teen Jacob Lescenski, just didn’t feel it would be right that Anthony attend prom alone, so he asked him out! What a true friend! This heartwarming story is a wonderful example of the special bond of friendship two people can have, no matter your race, age, or in this case, sexual orientation!
