Do you constantly spend money on a certain habit? Has that habit become an obsession that has been bothering you? Well, many people in this world engage themselves into something that catches alot of their attention. It may be a sport or any act that becomes a habitual pattern in their life. Habits are not a sin. The only problem is when it involves a significant amount of money like gadgets, shoes or coffee addiction. These are an expensive lifestyle that can put someone in a great amount of debt. We are not telling you to stop something that gives joy to your life. We will just give you some tips on how you can minimize them gradually.

Gadget Addiction

If you’re a person who loves to buy the latest gizmos and gadgets, then the first thing you should do is to stop all your electronic magazine subscriptions. These magazines will just tempt you into buying the latest editions of items that you don’t need. However, if you can’t resist yourself then wait at least 10 to 20 days before buying anything. This will help you realize the real worth of that item before purchasing. You should also look for discounts like coupons and savings when buying. You’ll save huge amounts of money!

Shoe Addiction

As a woman, few things are more important than having a fabulous pair of shoes. Well, you can’t eliminate this girly habit. The only thing you can do is to minimize how much you buy. If you have old shoes then try to repair them and add some accessories to help them look more glamorous. Add colorful beads and laces to give your shoe a new look. Use all your creativity and imagination to make your shoes beautiful like you. If you need to buy new ones, then go to bargain sales and wholesaler stores. There are a lot of stores that offer huge markdowns on designer shoes. Just keep your patience when searching for the best deal.

Coffee Addiction

When you’re getting your morning cup of coffee, then try to brew your own rather than buying at expensive coffee shops. All you need to do is go to the nearest department store and get a cheap coffee brewer. Purchase your own coffee and coffee additions and store them in your kitchen. When you have all the ingredients, learn how to brew your coffee. You’ll have fun doing this while enjoying your coffee addiction. You’ll save money instead of buying from expensive shops like Starbucks.

Saving money doesn’t mean that you have to live your life without any vices. Money is meant to be spent and should not be something that stops your happiness. It can be only done by simply breaking your expensive habits and converting it into something more manageable. By doing this, you’ll enjoy having a life full of good investments in the near future!
