The Many Uses of Vinegar

White vinegar is a household staple. You can use it for dozens of different purposes such as cooking or cleaning. But there’s a lot more to this clear, often times stinky, liquid than meets the eye.

White vinegar, aka, clear vinegar is made or produced through the acid fermentation of distilled alcohol and can pack a mean punch. You’ll be surprised to discover all the different ways you can put vinegar to good use that you probably would never have thought of. So check out these four awesome ways you can use white vinegar around the house to solve common problems!

1. Getting rid of remnants of sticky labels or stickers

Labels and stickers can often times leave behind a sticky residue, which can be annoying and create a mess. But with white vinegar you can easily fix this problem! Simply saturate a cloth or paper towel in vinegar and wipe it over the sticky area and say goodbye to sticky residue!

2. Cleaning showerheads

White vinegar can also be useful for your faucet heads in your showers. If you have built-up residue or water stains all you have to do is detach your showerhead and let it sit overnight in a solution of half water and half vinegar.

3. Windows and showers

Dirty windows can be a pain and bring down the look of your home, but luckily vinegar can be a quick fix for that problem! All you need is a spray bottle, water and vinegar. In a spray bottle mix together one part vinegar and 10 parts water. Then just spray the solution on your dirty windows and wipe off with a cloth or paper towel! This also works just as well for showers.

4. Cleaning washing machines and dishwashers

To give your washing machine or dishwasher a good clean just run about one cup of vinegar through an empty rinse cycle.

Vinegar can be really useful, and you can get it for such a cheap price. What other uses of vinegar are you aware of? Can you add more to our list? Share with us by writing your comments!
