Throwing vegetable peels, leftover food and other perishable
items down your garbage disposal can result in a less-than-savory smell. If you
want to keep your garbage disposal clean and free from odors, then here’s a
trick for you to follow!

All you need to do is freeze small lemon slices in white
vinegar (you can do this in an ice cube tray). Just cut up a few lemons into
tiny slices (you don’t have to worry about de-seeding them or peeling the rind
off), place them in an ice cube tray and fill the tray with white vinegar. Then
put a few of these cubes through the disposal every few days to keep it
smelling fresh! Plus, this will also keep mosquitoes, fruit flies, and other
lurking insects away from your garbage disposal!
