Country Superstar Kelly Clarkson Pays Tribute To a Dear Friend With a BREATHTAKING Performance!

Description

The country music world lost a legend this year with the
passing of Little Jimmy Dickens on
January 2. This great singer and performer got his start at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and went on
to become a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Dickens was 94 when he passed and was the oldest and longest
performing member of the Grand Ole Opry. This country legend made such an
impact on country artists and fans alike that his passing is a huge loss for
country music lovers.

A memorial was held in his honor a week after his passing at
the place where it all began, the Grand Ole Opry. Many great artists paid
tribute to the late great Dickens. Although this video of Kelly Clarkson’s
performance is not from the memorial, it’s actually from a concert she did
awhile ago, it still shows what an impact Dickens made in the country music
world.

She decided to perform “Go
Rest High On That Mountain”
, one of Dickens most loved and popular songs,
as a tribute to a dear friend of hers. I think it’s safe to say that as soon as
she started singing there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. I even got a little
choked up while watching this.

Her voice is so beautiful and she brings life to this song
in a way that honors and exonerates Little Jimmy Dickens. Although this
performance wasn’t at his memorial, I really hits home due to his recent
passing.

What did you think of her breathtaking performance? Please
