He Couldn’t Afford to Take the Bus, but Now He Doesn’t Have To

One winter day this restaurant owner saw a young man walking
down an ice-covered street. The man stopped and asked the owner how many more
miles he had until his destination. The owner told him that he had quite a ways
to go and should wait for the bus since the roads were so bad. The young man
responded saying he couldn’t afford the bus until he got a job and that he was
on his way to a job interview.

The restaurant owner was so surprised by the man’s
willingness to walk over ten miles for just an interview that he tracked him
down and offered him a job at his restaurant. This young man showed such
determination I’m happy to hear he was rewarded with a job!
