Sponge Bob who weighed in at a hefty 33 lbs., and now there’s Garfield who is
tipping the scales at 38 lbs. – making him the world’s fattest cat! This hefty kitty
was brought into the North Shore Animal League of America in Long Island, NY
after his owner passed away. I have no idea how this cat got this big, but he
is GIANT! Now staff members at the North Shore Animal League of America are
putting Garfield on a diet and trying to get him to lose 15-20 lbs. He’s a
sweet and adorable feline, but he needs to lose some serious weight for his
