Marathon Runners Take a Meaningful Detour
Description
World War II Veteran was watching the San Jose 408K Marathon
from the sidewalk when a runner approached him unexpectedly.
He ran up to the vet, shook his hand and thanked him for his
service. Immediately, other runners started following his example and took the
small detour up the sidewalk to shake his hand. The smile spread across the vet’s
face as he shook the oncoming hands and told the runners, “You’re doing a good
job!”
