To fans, Sam Smith's sexuality was revealed in his interview published in the July issue of Fader Magazine. But turns out, this confident artist was sure of himself all along and "came out" to his mom at the age of 4 years old. 

However, he was never interested in making a grand announcement about being gay. He tells Ellen, "I want to be a spokesperson for everyone, you know? Straight people, gay people, bisexual [people], anything, you know? I don’t want it to be limited."
