She Chose to End Her Own Life So She Could Die with Dignity.

Description

Brittany Maynard was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer at only 29 years old. Knowing that her incurable illness would come with terrible pain and a truly horrible death, Brittany decided that "death with dignity" was the best option for her and her family.

The death with dignity movement advocates terminally ill patient's choice to receive medication that will allow them to die on their own terms.

An unbelievably hard decision to make, Brittany went through with the heartbreaking act on November 1, 2014. In her final months, Brittany was sure to make the most out of her time, spending time with her family and friends.

Her last words she left to the world are beautiful:

"Goodbye to all my dear friends and family that I love. Today is the day I have chosen to pass away with dignity in the face of my terminal illness, this terrible brain cancer that has taken so much from me … but would have taken so much more."

"The world is a beautiful place, travel has been my greatest teacher, my close friends and folks are the greatest givers. I even have a ring of support around my bed as I type … Goodbye world. Spread good energy. Pay it forward!"

Please help Maynards hope in spreading awareness about the death for dignity act and SHARE her heart-wrenching story with everyone you know.
