This Beautiful, Haunting and Incredible Sound Is Tree Rings

You don’t see record players around much anymore but
Bartholomaus Traubeck has come up with a new use for them. He has created seven
recordings from different Austrian trees.

The tree in this video is an Ash tree’s year ring data.
According to Traubeck, every tree sounds vastly unique due to varying
characteristics of the rings. The camera on his record player relays the data
to his computer and end is what you see here.
