This military combat dog was shot FOUR times, then the unimaginable happened.

Description

Layka
was serving in Afghanistan as a military combat dog when she was shot at
point-blank range, four times! This unbelievable dog was still able to attack
and subdue the shooter, which saved her handler and other members of their
team.

She
underwent seven hours of surgery and one leg amputation, but she is alive and well
today! Her handler, Staff Sgt. Julian McDonald, adopted Layka into his family,
despite others’ reservations about her fierce background. She is now living a
happy and healthy life with her new family. This brought tears to my eyes!
