This “Recipe” for Emergency Birthday Cake is Good to Know…Just in Case

Sometimes we can get so busy and overwhelmed that we forget important things. Like dry cleaning, doctor's appointments, registering our cars...sometimes even birthdays. And picking up birthday cakes. So if you're ever in a bind and forget to pick up a birthday cake, here's one recipe that's good to have under your belt: Emergency birthday cake! 

Apparently cutting off the dough from doughnuts and slathering frosting around it makes for a good knock-off birthday cake! Not a bad idea, but we're thinking that the time it would take to make this may have been best devoted to...driving around to pick up an actual birthday cake? But hey, if this is useful to somebody out there somewhere, then we've done our jobs!
