Description
What would you do if you were enjoying a pizza and someone
approached you and asked for a slice because they were hungry? If you are
similar to the people seen in the video below, chances are you would apologize
and turn down the request. I don’t believe that these are bad people; instead,
I think that sometimes people overlook the power that a simple gesture (like
giving away a slice of pizza to someone who is hungry) can have.
Later in the video, two young men hand their leftover box of
pizza to a homeless man on the side of the street. The hungry man from earlier
in the video confronts the homeless man and again asks for a slice. Without
hesitation, the homeless man gladly shares a slice with the man.
This powerful video really gives meaning to the quote
featured at the end; “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by
what we give.”
