Want to get kids excited about P.E.? This elementary teacher has a GENIUS idea!

Description

I remember when I was a kid, physical education was the period I least looked forward to. Who wants to run laps around the tennis court for 20 minutes or do push-ups out on the field? But physical education is essential to the well-being of kids. They need physical activity to stimulate their brains and get their adrenaline pumping so they can get excited about all the valuable things they are learning in school. Oftentimes, though, teachers make it difficult for kids to enjoy physical ed.

One teacher from Harvest Elementary School in Alabama was determined to make P.E. fun for his students. What better way to do that than to incorporate a dance from one of the catchiest tunes out there? The Whip/Nae Nae (officially known as "Watch Me") by Silento is a crowdpleaser, and is guaranteed to get a crowd moving no matter what! This clever teacher adds traditional exercise moves like jumping jacks, lunges and high knee jumps into the dance, making it more fun for the kids.

I've never seen kids so excited about P.E. before! They genuinely look like they are enjoying themselves. The best part is that the teacher didn't even have to do anything especially spectacular to engage them - he just threw in some catchy music and got their feet moving! LOVE this idea!
