This is Elizabeth Laird...or, as she is better known as, "The Hug Lady." Given this name for a very good reason - because she hugs everybody (duh!) - Elizabeth has become a local celebrity amongst the soldiers in her town. 

At every single deployment and homecoming at the local army base in Ft. Hood, Elizabeth is there. And she is there with one purpose only - to hug EVERY soldier heading out or coming back from war! 

This one simple gesture has made a huge difference in each of these soldiers lives! We all know how much a hug can truly brighten someones day and Elizabeth is doing just so!
