Woman Lost Eyesight 21 Years Ago, Regains It After Scary Fall

Mary Ann Franco lost her eyesight over 20 years ago in a car crash. This accident caused spinal injuries that affected her vision. Mary recently suffered from a bad fall in her home that required her to get spinal surgery. When she woke up from that surgery, she could see again. 

The surgeon believes that her initial injury caused by the car crash may have restricted blood flow to her brain. When he performed the surgery, he may have relieved some pressure on the artery that was leading to the brain.
