Joining the Marine Corps straight out of high school, Sal Gonzalez was only stationed in Iraq for two months before he sustained a bombing injury that sent him back to the states. 

Waking up in a hospital bed and missing a leg, Gonzalez' first reaction was to ask when he could go back to the marines. The doctor reluctantly informed him he wouldn't be going back, he was going home.

Needing something to help him get through his recovery, Sal relied on music. In this video we understand why - he is clearly an incredibly talented musician.
