Everything You Need To Stock Up On In April

Blog | April 9th, 2020

Wow! It’s already April! And though every month has its specialty items, this month may have a bit of a different twist to it. When the unexpected hits…and it has hit hard all over the world…everything changes. From the way we shop, the way we eat to the way we spend our time and money…stocking up this April presents a different way of life than in past months. As you search for the monthly bargains, remember to put the safety of yourself and others first! Shop online, use the curbside pick-up and other such alternatives whenever you can! The bright side is this will pass…and there are still deals and great things to stock up on in April 2020!

Take Care of Your Car

April is national car care month, so now is the time to make sure your car is in good health. Auto shops and car dealers may be closed for the time being but you can still get in line for when they open. Another option is to place orders for items on sale that celebrate car care. From large dealers to small shops, many will have inventory on sale this month. Go ahead and replace your windshield wipers to prepare for the upcoming April showers. Take advantage of sales on car washing items and helpful gadgets. Purchase items to clean your headlights, add some air to your tires or freshen up upholstery. Shop Amazon to find almost anything for your car. While you’re at home use free time to be ready to roll when things get back to normal.

Spring Cleaning can Mean Sweet Deals

Spring cleaning often includes cleaning out. This means thrift stores will be receiving more merchandise making them a great place to shop for smaller items. Antique stores may be the place score some “new to you” solid wood furniture! If shopping online is still a necessity eBay, Poshmark and Mercari are great places to turn someone else’s abundance into your treasures.

Celebrate Earth Day

Earth Day is April 22 so keep an eye out for everything earthy! Throughout the month many stores will be running promotions and offering coupons on earth-friendly items. Whether it be plants or garden tools, everything is available online; allowing you to continue with keeping a safe distance. Nothing will break your boredom faster than getting outside in the sunshine and planting some new life! Some of my healthiest bushes that are thriving like no other were purchased online and shipped from Plant Addicts. Check out their online store!

Tax Time Isn’t All Bad!

As mid-April approaches, many merchants will offer sales and discounts in hopes that you will be getting a tax refund and are ready to spend it. If it goes the other way and you wind up owing money, those discounts will become even sweeter by saving you some cash on your purchases. Also, many businesses offer free food and beverages around the 15th or 16th of the month. Do a little googling to see where the deals are near you!

Easter Clearance

As with every holiday, there are usually leftovers…and not just in the refrigerator. Be first in line…or online…the day after Easter to get the cream of the crop on discounted items! Candy is awesome but the best overall deals will be on baskets, toys, stuffed animals and any non-perishable items that you can save until next Easter. You never know when the Easter Bunny could be in quarantine, so having an emergency stash previously purchased at a discount will be a huge disappointment detour for the little ones!
