When the Winners of Homecoming King and Queen Were Announced, I Broke Down in Tears!

Twenty candidates for Homecoming King and Queen all stood shoulder to shoulder on a Georgia high school's football field, beaming under the Friday night lights.

Two of the nominated royalty included special needs students, Hannah and Gus. Hannah, who has down syndrome was escorted by her brother, while Gus, a student with autism was escorted by his mother. 

The crowd, thick with anticipation, waits for the final decision to be announced. Then, over the loudspeaker, it is confirmed that Gus and Hannah are the proud winners of King and Queen - and the crowd goes CRAZY!!

Through pure love and pride, these two students were elected and voted for by their fellow students who truly wanted to show their support for Gus and Hannah!
